Workover, Intervention & Maintenance Umbilicals
Cortland Fibron design and manufacture umbilicals suitable for the majority of workover and intervention applications. These umbilicals provide varied services including hydraulic, electrical, optical or pneumatic. Traditionally workover and intervention umbilicals are deployed from a surface winch often with heavy tooling attached. Careful consideration is given to providing the umbilical with the necessary inherent strength and fatigue resistance. Umbilicals are available with stand alone sheaths, steel or textile strength braids or ropes or layers of high tensile steel armour, whichever best suits the specific application or operating system. Due to the harsh environment and long working life careful consideration is given to the operational stresses encountered.
Applications include Workover, Tubing Hanging Running Tool (THRT), Slick Line and Wire Line ops, Intervention Control Systems (ICS) and a wide variety of jumper umbilicals. All these umbilical types are designed and manufactured to fully meet or exceed the system requirements and those of the individual operator.
